An order number is the unique reference a store assigns to each purchase so it can be identified quickly. At Polkadot Store Online, your order number appears as soon as you complete checkout, on the order confirmation page and in your confirmation email, and it starts with the letters "PDK-".
Where to find your order number
- On the order received page shown right after checkout.
- In your order confirmation email, including its subject line.
- In any later emails about your order, such as shipping updates.
When you need it
- Paying for your order: include the order number in the payment note when you pay by Zelle, Chime or Cash App. This is how we match your payment to your order and release it from on hold.
- Contacting support: add it to any message so we can find your order right away.
- Returns and issues: the return policy asks for proof of purchase, such as your order number or confirmation email.
Order number vs tracking number
They're easy to mix up. The order number is issued by our store and identifies your purchase. A tracking number is issued by the shipping carrier once your parcel ships and is used to follow the package in transit.
