Definition
An order confirmation is the page and email you get after checkout, listing your order number, items, total and the payment instructions to complete it.
An order confirmation is the record a store gives you right after checkout to show that your order was received. At Polkadot Store Online, it comes in two forms: the order received page you see immediately after checkout, and a confirmation email sent to the address you entered.
What your confirmation includes
- Your order number.
- The items, quantities and order total, with shipping shown as free.
- Your order status, which starts as On Hold until payment is confirmed.
- Payment instructions for the method you chose, Zelle, Chime, Cash App or Bitcoin, plus a reminder to include your order number in the payment note.
- A link to view your order again later.
Why it matters
The confirmation is your guide to finishing the purchase. Because payment is sent after checkout, the instructions in your confirmation tell you exactly where to send it. It's also your proof of purchase for the return policy and the quickest way for our team to find your order.
Confirmation vs shipping email
The order confirmation arrives right after checkout. A separate email with your tracking number follows once your order has been paid, processed (1–2 business days) and shipped.
