Definition
Order On Hold is the status an order has after checkout while the store waits to confirm payment. It moves to Processing once payment is confirmed.
Order On Hold is the status your order has right after checkout while we wait to receive and confirm your payment. Nothing is wrong: it simply means the order is reserved and waiting for payment before it can be packed and shipped.
Why orders start on hold
Polkadot Store Online accepts payment through Zelle, Chime, Cash App and Bitcoin. With these methods, you send the payment yourself after placing the order, rather than typing card details into the checkout. Your order therefore stays on hold until the payment arrives and we match it to your order.
Order statuses at a glance
- On Hold: order received, waiting for payment confirmation.
- Processing: payment confirmed; your order is being prepared. Processing takes 1–2 business days.
- Completed: your order has been fulfilled and shipped.
- Cancelled: the order was cancelled.
How to move your order out of on hold
- Open your order confirmation page or email to find the payment instructions for your chosen method.
- Send the full order total using those details.
- Include your order number in the payment note so we can match it quickly.
- For Bitcoin, allow time for the transaction to be confirmed on the blockchain.
